The year 2008 marks the 24th year that Rafter-four Designs has been providing mail order books and supplies for traditional rug makers. If you have any questions about any of the products we sell, feel free to ask. We can usually answer by the next working day. Please note that when you order from us your name does not go on a mailing list--we do not send out mass, unsolicited mailings, nor emails-- and we will not sell your name to any one else for any reason! 

Update: if you don't receive an answer to an email question, please check that you haven't blocked our answer. Especially earthlink subscribers should put our email address on their accept-list or our response will not get through. 

Our Free Catalog
If you live in North America, we'll be happy to send you a printed copy of our free catalog so that you have all of the ordering information at hand. Just e-mail us with your regular mailing address. 

Regular Mail Orders:
If you've been browsing the Rag Rugs Tour, no doubt you've seen several items of interest. For quick reference and ordering by mail just print out our current product list, with all of the information you need to place an order. Mark on the list which items you'd like, and be sure to add the appropriate shipping charge. Enclose your name, address and payment. You can pay for your mail order by check or money order (please do not send cash). Orders are usually sent by first class mail, though we offer priority mail shipping to US addresses at your option, and orders with large amounts of fabric may be shipped by UPS. (Orders outside the US, see below.) 

IDAHO RESIDENTS: Be sure to add 6% sales tax. 

On-line Ordering:
If you just can't wait for regular mail order, you can order by email and pay with PayPal. For on-line Ordering- send us an e-mail with your name, address, daytime phone, and a list of all of the items you would like to order. We will calculate the cost, shipping and any credits you have earned, and respond via email with the total. 
Then you can pay for your online order with the secure PayPal service.
This is a secure online service that lets you pay for a purchase with credit cards or through a bank account and they will let us know that it has been made. We usually ship with two business days of receiving payment. Credits.... If you order $50.00 or more in merchandise (not including shipping or tax), you earn an instant $5.00 credit. (Just subtract the $5.00 from the total, or if you are ordering by email, we'll take it off for you.) This credit is available for orders to all countries.

Why we are no longer accepting direct Mastercard and VISA sales.
For 19 years we processed our customer’s Mastercard and VISA mail order sales through our local bank. Unfortunately they have decided to go to third-party processing which is located off-shore. We simply no longer feel that our customers' card information will be secure. So after all of these years we have decided simply not to process the cards directly. (Credit cards can still be used with the PayPal system.) We know this will be an inconvenience to some of our customers, and for that we apologize, but hope that you do understand that our first concern is the safety of your card information. We know that this is probably an old-fashioned attitude but we feel a responsibility to our customers who have trusted us all of these years to protect their cards.
