A Poem written by Jackpine

Jackpine, I can't find the words. I think you can tell it better than I ever could. Some place down the trail, Pard. - Bill (Jose)

TO WHOM IT MAY CONCERN
   By L. H. Klawitter

I guess that I'm a renegade,
The outlaw of the clan.
So my advice to all of you...
Avoid me, if you can.

I break the chains that bind me,
I kick wide the door
And shake the hand of any man...
Be he rich or be he poor.

I don't want to hear the gossip,
I'm not impressed with what you own.
So, go and do as you damn please,
Just leave me alone.

If money makes the difference
And society, your aim...
Then we ain't got much in common
And I won't play your game.

And when my life is over
And they judge what I have done.
I'll take what I've got coming.
I'm not blaming anyone.

But, I never lied or cheated.
I always paid my way
And the ones who really know me
Will tell you that, today.
