Pay in Advance A 5% discount is available for prepayment.
Your Neighbors in Business A 50% discount is available for placement in this section on ads up to 1/8th page in size.
Non-Profit A 50% discount on all ad sizes is provided to local, non-profit organizations.
Special Placement Special placement of your ad is available for an additional 10% of the ad price.
Artwork Black and White photographs may be placed in your ad at no additional cost.
Color Spot color in your ad is available; please ask your advertising representative for pricing. Color is restricted to certain pages, as can be accommodated by the press we use for printing. Color is not available in the Your Neighbors in Business section.
Mistakes It is the policy of The River Journal to have all display advertising approved by your business prior to printing. If there is a mistake in an ad you approved, The River Journal assumes no liability. If there is a mistake in an ad that was not approved, liability is limited to a correction in the following issue.
Contracts of three issues or more are available at an additional 10% discount. A contract qualifies for the 5% prepayment discount if each monthly payment reaches the River Journal office by the 1st of each month. An additional 5% discount is available on contracts of 4 months or more when the entire contract amount is paid at once.
Classifieds Classified advertising is available at $5 for 35 words.
Inserts The River Journal can insert your business flyer, brochure or menu by zip code and by individual routes within a zip code. This is an excellent way to reach every postal customer in any area you want to target. Rates are 7¢ per copy for under 5000, 6¢ per copy for 5000 to 10,000, and 5¢ per copy for over 10,000. Inserts must weigh less than 2 oz. Please call for pricing on inserts over 2 oz.
